About Alice Lok Cahana:
Alice Lok Cahana is an Hungarian Holocaust survivor. She was a teenage inmate in the Auschwitz-Birkenau, Guben and Bergen-Belsen camps. She is most well known for her writings and abstract paintings about the Holocaust. Much of her work is a tribute to Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg, who saved her father during the war. Alice was liberated from Bergen-Belsen on April 15, 1945 with her sister Edit who was two years older than her. She was separated from her sister and has spent the rest of her life looking for her.
I made a painting that has holes in it. Why is there holes? Because God says to us, I cannot do all. I can create you, but I cannot do it all. You have to help Me fix the holes and put everything together. This is the learning from the Holocaust. Tha...Alice Lok Cahana
