About David Millar:
David Millar is a Scottish former professional road racing cyclist. He is most associated with his long spells with two teams, Cofidis from 1997-2004 and Garmin-Sharp from 2008-2014. He has won four stages of the Tour de France, five of the Vuelta a España and one stage of the Giro d'Italia. He was the British national road champion and the national time trial champion, both in 2007. He is the only British rider to have worn all Tour de France jerseys and one of six to have worn the yellow jersey. He was also the first (of two) British riders ever to have worn the leader's jersey in all three Grand Tours.
It seemed romantic but also tragic - people would be winning but then lose it all, or crash but fight on, break bones but get back on their bikes and try to finish. Just getting to the end was seen as an achievement in itself.David Millar
But human nature dictates that there will always be cheaters. That's inevitable. Where there's money involved and glory, there are going to be people that cheat, and there will always be ways to cheat.David Millar
Everything that's going on within the peloton - there's about ten different races going on. There is also a survival element to it - I love the fact that it's so epic. You crash on a bike, the first thing you do is try and get back up on it. No whing...David Millar
